IEAQC, a Florida Not-For-Profit organization, was birthed within the Indoor Air Quality industry by the need to provide the Indoor Environmental Air Quality industry professionals, and its consumers, with the highest level of professionalism and intergrity by which it is expected to operate.

Looking at the needs and current state of many of those who practice in this space, IEAQC determined that it would set itself apart by imlementing the industry’s first and only true No Conflict Of Interest Code Of Ethics along with the HIGHEST LEVEL OF EDUCATION (college based) which would be the foundation for it’s members.

IEAQC then looked at the educational aspect of the Indoor Environmental Air Quality industry and proceeded to again set standards by which members would need to have been educated.

IEAQC moved forward and set a new standard for certification and developed alongside of industry professionals MINIMUM CRITERIA expected of it’s members. This included not accepting into its membership those whos sole IAQ education was that of a 4 or 8 hour laboratory sponsored workshop certification.

In early 2007 the IEAQC Board Of Directors again set the bar by enlisting the expertise of one of its own, Dr. Richard McMonagle, to author the industry’s first and only college level curriculum for a new designation which would encompass the depth of the required level of education needed to adequately perform Indoor Air Quality Assessments. This college level course is set to begin in the Summer 2008 at Miami-Dade College North Campus.
